This is my story

I first discovered my love of grant writing when I jumped head first into my new role as manager of a nonprofit program. You know the old saying “money doesn’t grow on trees”? I was convinced this saying must have been created by nonprofits. Our program needed dollars, and I was determined to find it. Do you know what I discovered? Money DOES grow on trees! You just need to know where to look!

I have worked in the nonprofit world for over 30 years wearing many different hats along the way. I have successfully raised millions of dollars for organizations of all shapes and sizes. I love helping organizations grow and further their missions. This is my happy place, and this is where Acorns-Oak was born.
